I would have liked it to be broader in the work field and more helpful in different types of job interviews. With all that being said, it does give you some helpful tips and hints that can be used in all aspects of interviewing for a job. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to go into Management Consulting or who is looking to change positions in the company they are in now. This is an excellent book for people who know that they have to face a case interview, are looking for a new job, and need some practice in learning about mock interview techniques. I think this is an excellent read! It is a book full of great advice! I like the cases presented as they cover a multitude of different fields of work, and can give a candidate a good exposure to existing issues. A lot of the times books like these will seem just a lot of fluff, but it is not true in this case. It seems to be a well-researched book, with lots of real life examples. Well to be honest I couldn't read it all at once! I got bored of it but... I am also not looking for this type of job. I wasn't familiar with a case interview prior to reading this book, but now I feel like I'm better prepared for one if needed. Beyond the case interview, I think this book gives some good building blocks on how to solve problems (after all that's what consulting is, right?). I've seen and used many of these frameworks professionally without knowing them, specifically the internal/external framework. I've picked up a few more that I think will be useful as well. I found this book very interesting and useful.Interesting, because it follows the unstructured/structured approach to Case Interview, in the line of Victor Cheng book, but more specific to actual cases that firms are using today.Useful, because it contain 9 full cases that can be used to practice with a partner, or on your on. The simulations described in the cases, are very useful to understand the dynamics of the case interview, and how to apply frameworks to difficult cases.There is room from improvement? Sure there is!, but it is a great tool, that I used intensively for my Consultant interview at BCG.I am looking forward to see if there is a new release of this book.

It tricks you into thinking 20 days is shorter than60 hours, the amount of time experts like Cosentino (Case in Point) and Ohrvall (MBA Case) sayis typical to prepare. The structures are the profit and loss formula and internal and external.Minimum number of practice cases. This book is for high school students. A total waste of mytime. Why does every former consultant think they’re an expert?
