Perfect for our car trip across country. Nobody is ever too old for Mad Libs! This is a fun, silly way to have a few giggles with the people in your life.

I bought this for my granddaughter who just finished 2nd grade for something to occupy her in the car. So she can read very well, but hasn't been introduced yet to nouns, adverbs, adjectives, etc. She looked at it and wasn't impressed.....looked too much like homework to her. I helped her complete the first sheet of "fill in the words", but she didn't really catch on until she used the words in the story below it.......THEN SHE LAUGHED SO MUCH SHE WAS ROLLING SIDE TO SIDE WITH EVERY WORD INSERTED. She loved it so much that she did 4 more stories on her own. This Mad Libs never made it out to the car, and she has asked to get more!! I'm sure she will be a jump ahead of others in the 3rd grade as she is now getting familiar with sentence structure while she writes each Mad Lib story. This grandma approves!

My children love these madlibs. If you have never tried them, they are a fun interactive "game" where someone asks you for a very, noun, adjective etc. (madlibs tells you what to ask) and then they write down the random words into a story without knowing the title or the story along the way. What results is a humorous story that doesn't make sense but really makes kids laugh. We had a 14 hour car drive and this was a favorite on the trip.

These are great books. Just large enough to be easy to write in, but small enough to be convenient for travel. There are around 20 stories per book. The book gives you the option to play solo as well, which I thought was a great feature. There is a cardboard insert that acts as a clipboard, so it's easy to write in here and you don't have to search for a writing surface. The cover is colorful and glossy, protecting it from damage and spills.

My son is addicted to Mad Libs. He is 11 years old, but still loves to create crazy and funny stories using the Mad Libs format. I bought this for our recent vacation, since our trip was 8 hours. My son loved playing this, and I think that it's a great way to reinforce his grammar skills and knowledge of adverbs, adjectives, etc. But if you forget there is a "refresher" page to let you know what word is being asked and what considers a noun, verb, etc. My son didn't finish the whole, and it kept him entertained along the way. We'll be using this again for our future road trip we have planned, which will likely finish the book.

Ordered this item for my 8 year old son. He enjoyed hours of entertainment with this activity book. While stillLearning :) This activity book is a creative way to help build vocabulary, build up his verbs, pro-nouns, adjectives etc.. hours of fun while learning all the pluses!!

LEE is professor of human resource management at Rutgers University’s School of Management and Labor Relations and of counsel to the law firm of Edwards Wildman Palmer. An attorney, she teaches employment law and higher education law. Prior to reading this book, I had no background in legal studies. So I wasn't very excited about reading this book, because I thought that it would be full of legal terms that it would be impossible for me to understand. However, it wasn't like that. Well, yes, there are lots of legal terms, but the authors did such a great job explaining those terms in a way that it was easy to understand for a law novice like me.We had to read the whole book for our legal class, I spent hours and hours on this book, and I don't regret it at all. It provides comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects in higher education. It begins with the sources of laws in higher education, then explores all the relationship aspects of higher education institutions, such as the relationship with its students, with the all levels of government, external agencies and organizations, etc. Each chapter provides case studies, backgrounds, and application to today's higher education. It is really a great book and wort every penny.No matter what it is that you do in colleges and universities, the presence of legal issues are there. So I would recommend this book to law students, students studying higher educations, and everyone who works at a college or university. Everyone can find the aspects that are relevance to their course of studies or work in this book, along with learning more about other aspects that you might not know about. I learned a lot, and I am sure that you will too.

The text renders court briefings, cases, filings, and rulings readable and interesting. The text is well written and pertinent to today's challenges higher education faces regarding torts and all court cases from the institution of higher education up to today's amendments to law. Navigating the United States legal system as it relates to higher educational systems can be daunting, but Kaplin has translated the text material with no loss of original meaning. As an 18 year member of a national organization of constitutional law experts, and a 19 year member of a national organization of public policy experts, this Kaplin version of law particulars that are proprietary to law speaks plainly to me, the reader.

The book I received (textbook rental) had lots of highlighting and writing inside of it, which was a bit distracting for me. This has been my favorite class so far, and the book was much more interesting than I initially thought it would be. Gives court case specifics in relation to each higher education law topic that ties everything together in terms of application.

The book is very informative and breaks down useful information which is helpful when learning about education policies and law. The information is presented in such a way that the information can be put to use immediately. Titles, laws, and related cases are also provided in the text for each case.

Honestly, this is the most beneficial book that I have bought as a higher education professional. It gives great examples and is an important resource to keep with you as your career continues. I HIGHLY recommend a read through it, and more importantly to have it handy as a reference guide.

Very detailed history but the information is repetitive, ​and some of the groupings appear weird. Easier to use LexisNexis to discover the details and outcomes of the cases.

I just got done with my legal class and this book was great. Some bits can be dificult to get through, but most of it is easy to read for someone with no legal background! I used it a lot for class, and I imagine I will continue to use it in my career.

This book is designed to be used for graduate level course work in higher education law, as it may be challenging to approach alone with little experience reading law. It is incredibly approachable, thorough, and contains all the information you need to know for the topic. It is truly comprehensive. Lee and Kaplin do a great job incorporating all the relevant legal cases by subtopic and refer to them often, makes for excellent examples of the laws.

Excellent well written, peppy and hip guide to Venice organized by area. Up to date opening and closing hours--something missing in some other guides. Relevant historical and cultural information. The accuracy of restaurant recommendations as to description, cost and quality is impressive. Good for either the first time visitor to Venice with "Don't Miss" sections listing the most important attractions and for the experienced traveler who may have made several trips and wants to explore the city in depth.

Useful guide to Venice. A Lot of the food in Venice is downright awful and overpriced (and if you don't like seafood, good luck), so it was good to have a guide. The descriptions of the neighborhoods were good, and the history of things we were looking at was interesting.

Very helpful guide for a short trip to Venice, with plenty of excellent info on major and minor sights. Info is organized by neighborhood, which I did not find optimal--I would rather have had everything in an alphabetical list with a cross-reference by neighborhood.I gave this 4 instead of 5 starts because restaurant info is very limited, especially for casual quick-bite kinds of places.

Great guidebook. Very comprehensive.
